Bijarim Forest – Bijarim, a Jeju gotjawal, is home to 2,900 nutmeg trees ranging from 500 to 800 years old. The entire forest has been designated as a natural monument. Two walking courses, one shorter and one longer, comprise the Bijarim Exploration Course over volcanic ash and clay that is easy to walk on. On either course, visitors will pass the New Millennium Nutmeg Tree that is over 800 years old and two entwined trees called the Love Nutmeg. Visit on a rainy day for even more picturesque scenery.
Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone [UNESCO World Heritage]-
Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone rose 180 meters above sea level due to a magma flow under the sea over 5,000 years ago. It was originally a separate island, but a build-up of sand and soil has connected it to the main island. A large crater, formed by the hot lava mixing with cold ocean water, is located at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone. The crater is about 600 meters in diameter and 90 meters deep. It has been featured in films, and was originally used for agriculture, but has now been given over to a field of silver grass. From the summit, visitors can see Udo Island, as well as take in the magnificent sunrise. The tuff cone area was designated as a natural reserve on July 19, 2000.
Sangumburi Crater– If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium. There is a variety of plant-life in the crater. Because so many different kinds of trees and plants grow in such a limited space, it attracts the attention of researchers as well.
Jeju Stone Park – Jeju Stone Park was inspired by Jeju’s culture and applications of stones. The main theme focuses on the foundation and identity of Jeju Island, based on the myth of Seolmundae Halmang (Grandmother Seolmundae), who created Jeju Island and the stones of Obaek Janggun (Five Hundred Generals). The park serves as a historical and cultural space where collected stones respresent Jeju’s foundation and culture.

Hanllim Park – Hallim Park is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island. The most famous tourist sites in Hallim Park are Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves, known to be the only two-dimensional caves in the world. In addition, a folk village, children’s amusement park and outdoor resort facilities make it enjoyable for both children and adults.
Songaksan Mountain – The road from Sanbanggulsa Temple in Southern Jeju to Songaksan Mountain is a famous coastal drive with breathtaking scenic views. Though not as enormous as Hallasan Mountain, the view from the peak of Songaksan is truly scenic.
Jusangjeolli Cliff – Jusangjeolli are stone pillars piled up along the coast and is a designated cultural monument of Jeju Island. Jusangjeolli Cliff was formed when the lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the sea of Jungmun. They are rock pillars shaped like cubes or hexagons of various sizes and almost seem as if stone masons had carved them out. The 20m cliff makes it a popular spot for high tide and sea angling. The waves of the high tide crashing into the side of the cliff provide a breathtaking view of the ocean surrounding the pillars.
Cheonjeyeon Falls – The water of Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls appears to fall from the heavens, giving it its name, meaning “sky connected with land.” The waterfall is 22 meters high, 12 meters wide and 20 meters in depth. The clear and deep water of Cheonjiyeonpokpo Falls is designated as Natural Monument No. 27 and is renowned as a habitat for Mutae eels (Natural Monument).
